These are Wet Grind Stones- No expensive oils needed! Simply dunk the Grinding Stone in water and rub the stone against the edge in a circular manner on one side, then the other at a 25 to 30 degree angle to achieve the edge sharpness you desire.
Made of Silicon Carbide (also known as Carborundum), these two sided stones have a 120 grit and 280 grit side. The 120 course grit side is ideal for removing nicks and burrs for the edge, and the 280 grit side is perfect for refining the cutting edge of your Ax, Hatchet or Tomahawk.
